The most popular single ‘Closer’ by The Chainsmokers reaches 3 billion streams!

It’s time for a new success! Electronic music duo The Chainsmokers shared on social media a new goal for their popular song ‘Closer,’ which just hit 3 billion streams on Spotify! The track was released on July 29, 2016, featuring singer Halsey, as the third single of their second EP, ‘Collage.’ It is a future bass and electropop, Taggart and Halsey take turns singing their parts before singing the chorus together as the song concludes.

‘Closer’ won “Dance Song of the Year” on iHeartRadio Music Awards, “Favourite International Video” on Myx Music Awards, “Top Hot 100 Song”, “Top Collaboration”,  and “Top Dance/Electronic Song” on Billboard Music Awards.

It was the highest-charting EDM song to crack and ‘Closer’ became the Chainsmoker’s fourth song to do so and break the record on Billboard‘s Hot Dance/Electronic Songschart.
