We recently sat down with Belgian-born but Valencia-based DJ and producer Kenn Colt, we spoke about his recent release ‘Chan Chan’, his very own label ‘Feels Like Home Records’ and all things 2024 in this exclusive interview for Dusted Nation!

Can you explain your recent release ‘Chan Chan’ in 3 words for those who haven’t heard it yet?

Uptempo tech house banger

It’s released on your own label, Feels Like Home Records, what can we expect from the label in the future?

I have more than 15 songs planned to be released and there are other artists that I sign to my label when I feel its a good fit, so expect a lot of new music coming soon!

You were born in Belgium but moved to Spain, how did this effect your musical style? Does the Latin influence in your music come from this move?

Well definitely yes. Being surrounded by Spanish and traveling through latin america definitely inspired me to use more Spanish vocals and change my style a bit from latin tech house to afro House.

What was the initial reason you moved?

I love sunshine and good weather, moving to Valencia In Spain close to the beach really changed my lifestyle in a positive way

You also have a long running radio show, what are some of the challenges you’ve faced in producing this show for so long?

To produce this radioshow Every week after week, even when you have q lot of work or been traveling and playing all around the world so making the decision to give up sleep to produce the show and be consistent, but if I see all the feedback and love I get from my listeners it’s worth every second!

With ‘Chan Chan’ out the way, can you shed some light on any upcoming projects and when we can expect them?

I am planning to release one track every 6 to 8 weeks so yes definitely have a lot of releases to show you guys, collaborations with artists from all over the world.

What advice can you give to young producers coming up in the game?

Be consistent and make music that defers you from the rest of the artists, that will boost your career

If you could partner up with one producer right now on a track, who would it be and why?

Uff okay so If I can choose one artist to Collab with then i would like to give it a try with James hype or hugel, those artists have kinda the same vibe I play and like to produce music in that direction

What’s your favourite club to play in apart from Versuz?

I just played a set at Mamba cCub in Asunción Paraguay. The vibe there was out of this world, so many happy faces. Love it. In Europe I would say Shoko in Barcelona
