For Greek DJ YERO this summer has been one of the most pivotal seasons of his musical career so far. Kicking off with his debut single release in June followed by booth debuts in Ibiza’s Café Mambo and the world’s biggest festival Tomorrowland. 

Now that’s how you get your name out there!

Readying to share follow up single After Hours next month, we spoke to YERO about his crazy summer.

YERO! Welcome to Dusted Nation. How has summer been for you so  

far? Tell us some of your best moments? 

Undoubtedly my highlight was my Tomorrowland debut which was a lifetime experience. Apart from that, all my shows from Ibiza to the Greek islands were all great times! 

Your debut single ‘Wonderful Life’ (Kryder’s Guilty Pleasure Mix) came  

out in June, when can we expect new music from you?  

 ⁠I’m planning my next release on the second week of September called After Hours and I’m excited as I feel that track is unique and defines my club sound a lot. 

⁠We caught a clip on your remix of ‘Move’ by Adam Port, Stryv, Orspo &  

Malachiii. The dancefloor reaction seems hot! Do you plan to share the  

version anywhere?  

Well at the moment it’s a private weapon for me so people can only listen to it live!   

⁠Which track is essential to your DJ USB right now?  

I really liked and played Laurinha from Victor Lou a lot of times this summer.

⁠A hot topic of the moment, what is your opinion on phones on the dancefloor?  

I believe that we can’t blame the crowd that gets attraction from social media through the marketing that the artist is strategically making and after tell them that their phone is banned! Isn’t ironic since we are serving this through multiple platforms? I believe we should focus more on educating the new generations in the right way and that’s the only solution. 

What are your interests and hobbies outside of dance music?  

Well, there is not much time left for me out of music and nightclubs but when I get some then I try to play or watch multiple sports but mostly basketball. 

Who are your biggest influences in music? And why?   

⁠Well you get different influences from time to time but my basic influences in dance music were Erick Morillo and Steve Angello as I fell in love with their sound and general vibe as DJs.
