LA-based DJ and producer Jessica Skye has shared her new single La Otra. Out now via Platoon, it’s a gorgeous, groove-driven cut primed for those moments when the first rays of the sunrise hit the dance floor.

After the success of her recent yoga-inspired electronic album, Fluō State 002, which included standout tracks like “Enter Nyx” and “Tropic of Pisces”—both of which reached the Top 10 in Beatport’s Organic House chart—Skye returns with La Otra. This new track sees Skye draw on nostalgic memories of formative years spent at underground parties. La Otra is emotive and melodic, riding a Balearic slant that’s emphasised by rich, gleaming pads, warm kick drum, transcendent vocal intonations and stirring strings.

With a 12 year-long career teaching yoga and meditation by day and DJing at some of the world’s most iconic venues by night, Skye’s passion for wellness is infused into her electronic productions. The result is a track that moves both body and mind, from ambient soundscapes to soothe anxiety, to deep melodic house for intimate club experiences.

Jessica Skye has been making waves in the wellness and music scene for the last decade, touring the globe while teaching yoga by day and DJing by night. Working the dance floors from London to LA, with standout shows at iconic venues and festivals such as Ministry of Sound, Creamfields, Lost Village, Lovebox, Parklife, Snowbombing, as well as Feel Festival and Sisyphos to name a few.
